     At 10:51 a.m. on February 26, the Bellevue Fire Department was dispatched to 901 Stone Street for a structure fire. Arriving units reported smoke showing from the roof. Firefighters started attacking the fire by cutting ventilation holes in the one and one-half story structure.

     Around 7 pm on Monday, Mar. 6, Mulvane PD received an urgent “teletype” to all Law Enforcement Agencies in Kansas from the Sheriff of Comanche, KS. They were asking for PDs to contact their local FDs for assistance.

The Dassel Fire Department’s training burn took place in an old farmhouse on a property about two miles south of Dassel. The house was taken down to provide space to add on to the other house on the property. The training started at 6:30 p.m. and they did interior fire training until around 10 p.m.

The Excelsior Fire Department responded to a report of smoke in a garage in Shorewood on Dec. 8. Upon arrival, flames were seen and the detached garage became engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control and there were no injuries. South Lake Minnetonka Police also responded to the call.
