The 21st Annual Memorial Service was held Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the memorial site in Coralville. On Saturday, June 13th we held the annual candlelight service at 9 p.m. Around 150 people were in attendance because of the rainy weather.   Sunday morning an estimated 800 attended the 10:30 a.m. Memorial.

     Who thought that this would be a dry summer? So far in the east end of the state, we have had near record rainfall for the last two months and experienced flooding in low areas as well as severe weather. Now that I have said this, it will turn hot and dry for the rest of the summer.

Philip Ambulance hosted a District V meeting/training. A mock accident involving a jet ski/boat collision,  at Lake Wagner north of Philip, was the scene. One patient was in the water and three more patients on the boat.  

     The Philip Fire Department and Game Fish and Parks assisted with the training.

President Charlie Kludt presented Governor Daugaard with a 2015 Pierre Fire School Challenge coin.

    The center of the State, and the center of attention was Pierre.  The 2015 State Fire School was outstanding. Ian Paul and the Pierre Fire department, along with the city of Pierre, hosted an event people from anywhere would have enjoyed.
