Greetings from your NSVFA office! Lot’s happening and so much to look forward to!

A camper was destroyed and another was heavily damaged in a fire in the Larson’s Landing area west of Yankton Tuesday. A neighbor contacted the Yankton Fire Department at 2:21 p.m. reporting that fire was spotted on top of the camper parked on a camp pad.

S DAK – July – Article

Even though wisps of smoke still trailed from Storm Hill, the fire was officially declared 100 percent contained last Tuesday – marking the end of a blaze that scorched over 190 acres and lasted for two stressful days.

The South Dakota Fallen Firefighters Memorial located in Pierre will be adding to the monument. The monument will have space for only two more names after the engraving of the 44th name this summer.
