Feb. 15, 2015: Burke Fire Department Fundraiser Steak Fry and an Open House for former Chief Denny Purvis, Burke VFW, starting at 5 p.m.

Feb. 17, 2015: 8th Annual Nebraska Legislative Appreciation Breakfast, State Capitol, Lincoln. Participants are asked to meet before the breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with NSVFA Lobbyist Gerald Stilmock and are asked to wear their department uniform or dress in business casual. Breakfast will be from 8-10 a.m. with the senators and others.

     Feb. 21, 2015: Wood Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Fundraiser at Karla’s Last Kall. There will be a cream can feed, roast beef and pork loin, salads and desserts for a free will offering. There will be raffles drawn for two guns and $500 in cash. There will also be auction items. Everyone is welcome.

     Feb. 21, 2015: Colome Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Chicken Supper, Colome American Legion, serving from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., fried chicken, baked beans, potato salad, and desserts. Admission is by a free will donation.
