Feb. 14, 2015: Gayville Fire and Rescue Department’s 11th Annual Fundraiser, featuring magician and comedian Lee Cole, Gayville Community Center, social hour 5 p.m. with dinner to follow, live auction 7:30 p.m., Lee Cole to follow auction. Pork loin or roast beef dinner, tickets $30 before Feb. 13 or $35 after. Tickets available at CorTrust Bank and Valley Ag Supply of Gayville or any Gayville firefighter.

Feb. 15, 2015: Burke Fire Department Fundraiser Steak Fry and an Open House for former Chief Denny Purvis, Burke VFW, starting at 5 p.m.
Feb. 17, 2015: 8th Annual Nebraska Legislative Appreciation Breakfast, State Capitol, Lincoln. Participants are asked to meet before the breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with NSVFA Lobbyist Gerald Stilmock and are asked to wear their department uniform or dress in business casual. Breakfast will be from 8-10 a.m. with the senators and others.
Feb. 21, 2015: Wood Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Fundraiser at Karla’s Last Kall. There will be a cream can feed, roast beef and pork loin, salads and desserts for a free will offering. There will be raffles drawn for two guns and $500 in cash. There will also be auction items. Everyone is welcome.
Feb. 21, 2015: Colome Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Chicken Supper, Colome American Legion, serving from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., fried chicken, baked beans, potato salad, and desserts. Admission is by a free will donation.

July 25, 2015: Water Fights – Davenport, IA in conjunction with Street Fest in downtown Davenport (Ripley St. and 2nd St.) Registration: 10-11:30 a.m. with water fights beginning at noon with the women’s division going first. There will be a mens and womens division and each first place winner receives a trophy and $500 for each division. Second place winner receives a trophy and a cash prize. Cash given AT event.
